B E L I E V E told me to mp3 more records so here goes.
1989 the number
another summer
get down
sounds of the funky drummer
or get down to what I was listening to the year I turned 14. There was a record sold around Boston and maybe other places too, an indy 12" by Bonnito called Music Business.
The cover was done in a Lumonious style - I swear somebody has to post a tribute page to that guy - maybe I'll photo it later but not now cause I'm not even near home.
Bonnito ruled the airwaves, but the b-side, Street Hunter by the Viceroys is an all time late 80s roots reggae classic. Dub 'em if ya got 'em.
Also, I bought this record at a headshop on Mass. Ave in Cambridge. I forget what it was called, but they stocked this record and one of the local dancehall labels and then a bunch of Bob Marley posters, bongs and t-shirts. I was a frequent customer.
