brazilliant

Recently, a friend of mine got all excited about Django Reinhart when The New Yorker did a review of Django: The Life and Music of a Gypsy Legend.

Luiz Bonf is the other South American classical/jazz guitarist and is best known for composing and playing on the soundtrack to Black Orpheus, with the main theme Manha de Carnaval making it into the record books as a jazz standard. At least, I hear it every time I'm out at the local below-ground jazz bar.

Garta is from Luiz Bonf's Brazilian Guitar and more recently available on Genios Do Violao - Garoto & Luiz Bonfa. I encoded it for the sake of my friend.
