I guess I'm not so hot with the macro-focus on the digital camera, but I wanted you to see the label. You can just tell from the pattern on it that when you put this disc on and watch the record go round and round, you are going to get hypnotized into enjoying the music. That's right, it's 60s psychedelic rock.

The Lost was a band out of Boston, legendary, I'm told, and my story to tell is that I played softball on the library team with the bass player, who is a great pitcher, a great guy, and also joined the Velvet Underground in their later days, along with The Lost's, Willie Alexander.

Sorry for posting your music illegally, Walter! Back Door Blues is the b-side to their first single, Maybe More Than You. The group put out another single after a tour with the Beach Boys, but never really took off, unfortunately for them, but fortunately for those of us who love obscure bands.

I hope you'll buy their CD comp from Arf! Arf! records.

I'm enjoying this one. There oughta be a new movement back towards the underprocessed sound, that reverb-tank-only-on everything style from the earlier days has such a simplistic beauty to it. I'd love for someone to direct me towards any current bands that are using that approach, just for curiousity's sake. Now, to go learn those guitar parts!

Oh hey if your camera has that "video" feature and you can get a clip of that disc label spinning I'd enjoy that too.

Poignant. Especially with WB's Lost changing the American television landscape. And the Beach Boys reforming in Brian Wilson's head with Smile.
